The Brief
Ms B’s Bakery in Wan Chai is a bespoke cakery, renowned for creating some of Hong Kong’s most unique, high-end cakes. They approached us as their food retail lighting agency to design a scheme that celebrated both their intricate products and the refined interior design.
The challenge was to light wall art, product displays, and shelving in a way that felt bright and even, while working without any ceiling fixtures.
The Outcome
We developed a creative lighting plan that illuminates the ceiling indirectly, revealing its architectural detail even without overhead fittings. Wall art and display areas were lit to draw the eye without overpowering the delicate colours and textures of the cakes.
Product shelving was fitted with integrated lighting that mirrors the shapes of the bakery’s windows, ensuring both the shelves and the front of the products were evenly lit. The result is a warm, elegant environment where every cake, display, and interior detail is presented at its most inviting.
