We designed smart, energy-efficient shopping centre lighting for Mega Box Centre’s key public areas. The scheme combines comfort, functionality, and visual impact from arrival to departure.

The Brief
Mega Box, a landmark shopping centre in Hong Kong, required a lighting scheme for its lobby, entrance, drop-off area, and bathrooms.
The goal was to create a welcoming, high-quality experience for visitors while incorporating energy-saving features. Lighting needed to enhance the building’s modern design and operate efficiently in high-traffic areas.
The Outcome
For the drop-off area, we installed sensor-controlled lighting that gradually adjusts as vehicles and visitors approach, creating a smooth transition in brightness while reducing unnecessary energy use. In the main lobby and entrance, we used warm, balanced lighting to highlight architectural features and guide foot traffic naturally.
The bathrooms were fitted with clean, functional lighting to ensure comfort and visibility, while maintaining the centre’s premium feel. The result is a cohesive, efficient, and inviting lighting solution that supports Mega Box’s position as a top retail destination.
