One Bedford Place

One Bedford Place, an award-winning commercial office space in the heart of West Kowloon, needed a lighting scheme that matched its high-end architecture while remaining highly functional.

Our role covered the lift lobbies, hallway lighting, bathrooms, and all directional and wayfinding signage. The challenge was to create a design that offered clarity and ease of movement without feeling over-lit or visually cluttered, while also complementing the building’s refined materials and contemporary style.

In the lift lobbies, we used light within architectural frames to define each lift clearly, achieving separation without a harsh or “showy” effect. Hallway and directional signage – including floor markers and room identifiers – continued this restrained, elegant approach, ensuring wayfinding felt effortless and consistent throughout.

We created showstopping lighting for the central staircase, concealed light strips traced the organic curves of the balustrade, offering a subtle glow that contrasts beautifully with the warmth of the timber, tying the space together with a modern yet welcoming finish.

In the bathrooms, lightbox zoning above the sinks provided bright, practical task lighting while keeping the overall look clean. Across circulation spaces, high-level and low-level lighting were layered to add depth and balance.
